Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father taught in the school system and her mother was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick always enjoyed performing, dancing and creating performances with puppets. McCormick won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was contacted by Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick was offered her first major role when she got a part in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. In the year that followed, she appeared in a second commercial on television for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected from among 1200 children who auditioned to be the youngest of three daughters towheaded on the brand new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick said in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly ended her relationship in the fifth season in the presence of Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. The actress was just 16 years old and the actor was 19 at that moment. She said that it would have been feasible, but it was never the best time to do it.
