Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years during the 1970s. She survived on a student salary and part-time work in order to make ends meet. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox performed flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. The group broke up shortly before their appearance on I.T.V's talents program New Faces. She was the main singer of The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox went on to record her debut solo album Diva. This was released in the year 1992. It was a massive critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo that was released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The collection consisting of four tracks that were improvised. The E.P. is a companion piece for her installation of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called"Now I'll Let You Go... It is also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954, is a Scottish politician, philanthropist and musician and singer. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox as well as Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, proceeded to gain international recognition in the 1980s as the Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox began her solo career by releasing their debut record Diva that produced a number of hit tracks, including Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album released in 1995 includes cover versions of tracks such asNo MoreI I Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six studio and compilation albums.
